Exhibitors in JAMFEST amazed at property security

Over 700 exhibitors who participated in the culture and arts festival, JAMAFEST were surprised by the overwhelming security and stand arrangements, for their stock. Participants have a story to tell about Rwanda’s security and being organized.

The cultural festival dubbed JAMFEST attracted all East African member states to showcase their cultures through dancing troupes, music, arts and crafts to strengthen EAC integration process.

Rwandashow.com talked to different participants about the mood and organizations of the first ever JAM festival hosted by Rwanda.

“I have participated in different countries in such festivals and usually our properties get stolen due compromised security but Rwanda has amazed me in terms of organization and security of our products” says William, the head of Tanzanian delegation.

The festival was hosted by EAC member states on rotational basis as agreed by both ministers in charge of EAC affairs.

Rwanda was the first country to host the festival but so far participants from all countries urge the next country to host JAMFEST to learn from Rwanda.

“Am over whelmed by the way Rwanda has organized successfully this festival and this should serve as a lesson to four countries now left to host the festival” says George Baati, a participant from Uganda.

George added that to host such festival is expensive for the country but in my view, Rwanda if possible would also host the 2nd edition due to its cleanness and well behaved citizens observed in the festival.

The festival kicked off on 11th Feb and ended on 17th, at Amahoro petite Stadium.
