Benie Man amazed at Rwanda’s development

While speaking to, Benie man couldn’t hide his amazement at  Rwanda’s development, just a few years after the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.

“My first in Rwanda but am thrilled by quick developments as far as the short time the country has come out of the Genocide tragedy,” said Benie Man.

Dance hall heartthrob Benie Man landed in Kigali on Friday/1st/ March to with crew to perform at the closure of FESPAD  festival.

Benie said he has read good things about Rwanda, and with his recent performance in Uganda, Benie learnt that Kigali is the cleanest city ever.

Born Anthony Davis in the district of Kingston in 1973, he was involved in the music industry from a young age, starting toasting at the age of five, encouraged by his uncle Sydney Wolf who played drums for legend Jimmy Cliff.

The multi Grammy award winner has over 25 albums including number one singles on USA billboards in 2000-2005, Dude and feel it boy featuring Jannet Jackson.

Benie Man will share the stage will Rwandan chogga style king Rafiki alongside other celebrated musicians like Ice Prince from Nigeria and Kidumu from Burundi.
