SKIZZY ENDORSES MUSICIANS’ CONTRIBUTION IN GENOCIDE COMMEMORATION

m_SKIZZY ENDORSES MUSICIANSSkizzy of KGB crew has hailed the impact of musicians’ contribution in commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, saying it was an impeccable and exemplary job worth commending. During the one-week commemoration, different musicians produced songs that were attributed to the fallen victims of the holocaust, while contestants of Primus Guma Guma Super Star visited the Kamonyi Genocide Memorial.

Speaking to rwandashow.com, Skizzy stressed that most of the perpetrators of the Genocide were the youth and that today’s youth should follow a different path altogether. “It’s of great importance that we try to live differently from them. What they did was horrible and for me one of the best ways of passing a message is through music, and our musicians are doing exactly that,” he said.

Skizzy was speaking at a night vigil organized by Miss Rwanda 2012 Umutesi Aurore who had convened a multitude of youth to commemorate the youth who lost their lives in 1994 Genocide. Also present were the different beauty queens from all universities in the country, dignitaries from the ministries affiliated with the youth as well as the minister for youth and ICT, Hon. Philbert Nsengimana.
