Swagga Boyz at it again

Swagga Boyz

Whoever came up with the name Swagga Boyz in reference to the Urban Boyz was not wrong after all. The trio, composed of Safi, Nizzo and Humble G, has proven beyond any shadow of doubt that they are indeed the country’s most beloved and talented singing crew. Those who saw them at the first live show of Primus Guma Guma Super Star on Saturday, will attest to that statement.

The inexplicability of the change of aura when they stepped on stage is what mesmerized me, that is, in comparison to their predecessors who had just finished their performance. Their dancing, movements and confidence they exuded was a clear indication of how this crew has established itself as the country’s most favorite. Those who talked to rwandashow.com after the performance couldn’t hide their exuberance and enthusiasm saying that it would be totally unfair if the Urban Boyz did not go on to win it.

Kate Gustave, a famous radio presenter on Radio 10 said, “I have nothing to say. It was really amazing and I like the way they were prepared, right from step one to the last step. They outshone everyone and that is no issue to debate about.”

Urban Boyz know what is at stake. The odds have always favored songbird Butera Knowless, who did not impress at the show herself, but as early as it is, they need to continue upping their level until the very last day of the competition if they are to stand the highest chances of winning the coveted prize of 26m Rwf.
