Rwanda’s aspirant at this year’s season six of Tusker Project Fame Elion Victory has been shown the door following the preliminaries held in the Kenyan capital Nairobi. Elion, who was among Rwanda’s representatives in East Africa’s largest talent search competition, was left dismayed after he put up what he thought was a good performance.
With so much discretion and confidentiality being strictly observed at TPF, it’s uncertain whether the other contestants that include Patrick Nyamitali have been able to progress. In a short interview, Elion described his eviction as a shock, but acknowledged to having failed to adhere to the judges’ instructions to sing at a lower key. But that is as far as he went in disclosing his fate.
Meanwhile all the contestants from the six participating countries have been told to report back to their respective countries after the terrorist attacks at a mall in Nairobi disrupted many activities in the city. The contestants will head back to Nairobi in two weeks’ time.
