College of Business and Economics CBE (former SFB), on Saturday announced the 2014 Miss CBE as Samantha Ghislaine Uwase.
The 19year old winner beat other six contestants to win the beauty pageant. Uwase takes the title from Elsie Grace Ingabire who has been Miss CBE since last year.
Uwase was also named CBE ambassador. During her tenure, she will also have a one-year scholarship and free accommodation.
She was awarded with a certificate and received a prize of Rwf100, 000 cash.
“It is a dream come true, to me. I will use my title to advocate for welfare of the students and represent my college well,” said Uwase after she was crowned.
Uwase will get a one-year package of selected beauty products from Sulfo Rwanda Industries and Simba Supermarket.
The first and second runners-up were, Fabiola Fernandes Akazuba and Amandine Isimbi. They were given cash worth Rwf100, 000 each and certificates. They will also get beauty products from Sulfo Rwanda for one year and free accommodation at the Institute.
Lauren Makuza, the in charge culture in the Ministry of Culture and Sports was the Guest of Honor in the crowning event, which attracted hundreds of CBE students, staff and several guests.
