Dream Boyz are certainly poised to miss out on Riderman’s album launch slated this Saturday 21st December 2013 at Petit Stade in Remera.
The duo, including a host of other famous musicians had been booked among the guest performers at the launch, but they are currently in France, where they have been invited shortly after staging another impressive show in Belgium.
Speaking to rwandashow.com, Riderman acknowledged the glitch but confirmed the launch would go ahead as planned.
He said, “It’s a small drawback, but we have no choice but to accept it the way it is. Certainly they (Dream Boyz) have a large following here in the country and having them at my album launch was going to be a boost to me.”
Asked why he had included them on the list of performers, knowing very well they wouldn’t be available, Riderman said he had no idea they would be held back in Europe, saying, “I didn’t know they would be going to France as well. I am told it was not on their agenda.”
The album launch, called Igikona will be Riderman’s fifth. Entrance fees have been fixed at Rwf2, 000 and Rwf5, 000 for ordinary and VIP seats respectively.
