Rwanda television host, Andrew Kareba advised musicians to give main concern to promoting their songs before accusing showbiz fraternity for their downfall.
The youth program show host on RTV revealed to Rwandashow.com while speaking on how artists spend much time blaming journalists instead of checking the root cause.
“Some artists think that when they record a song with Washington, it will be a hit automatically. Meanwhile for a song to be popular, promotion plays a big role,” says Andrew Kareba.
Kareba warned that improper promotion and marketing strategies often lead to the downfall of established artists. He cited Jay Polly from Rwanda, Tanzania’s TID and Mr Nice as some talented artists whose music vanished because of improper marketing.
Andrew Kareba is a radio and television personality , he started his career at radio Salus and later worked with various media houses like Chronicles, Igihe, before joining Rwanda Broadcasting Agency.
