Rwanda’s song bird Knowless Butera has urged fellow artists to morally and financially support widows of 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.
The Nzabampari hit maker disclosed the information while speaking about her new genocide commemoration song, dubbed Ntibizongera loosely translated as “it won’t happen ever again.”
“Women and children who survived the genocide were left with many challenges, it’s upon us to uplift and support them,” Knowless told Rwandashow.com
Knowless urged artists to show love and support to the survivors especially the women and orphans that suffered terrible challenges like HIV/AIDS following rape, during the 1994 genocide.
The singer is plans to visit genocide widows in Nyamata together with her fan club to donate items like soap, cooking oil and food stuff.
Knowless boasts of songs like, Nzabampari, Warurihe and Amapingu.
