Local film maker and CEO of Kings hood production Ngyezi aka Daniel Nganga has called upon business people and giant companies to support the local movie industry.
Ikyigeragyezo star disclosed to Rwandashow.com some of the biggest challenges blocking film industry to develop in Rwanda.
“Producing a movie needs a lot of things but mainly financial support which of course might come from business fraternity but business people don’t even know that film industry exists in Rwanda” said the film director/Actor Ngyenzi.
He added that in other countries, big companies fund movie makers for commercial purposes hence development of movie industry because block buster movies need hi-tech equipments.
However movie star Ngyenzi appreciates the move made by the government to reduce the rate of movie piracy although it still exists.
“It’s weird to invest more than 10 million Rwf to produce a movie and someone pirates it, this means that the movie investor will have to wait again more years to overcome loses caused by movie pirates,” he said.
Ngyenzi also told this news website that Kings hood production plans a big event during Christmas season to award movie stars and best movies to promote movie industry regionally.
Ngyenzi who was putting on replica dreads disclosed to Rwandashow.com that the dreads are for his new role in the upcoming movie dubbed “Amanda”
