Rwandan traditional singer Ben Rutabana is set to release his fourth album entitled Amnesia. Speaking to journalists, Rutabana revealed that the album preparation has been in the pipeline for some time, and that he will soon show the Rwandan people what he has been up to all this time.
Rutabana is one of the most controversial figures in Rwandan showbiz, having fallen out with almost everyone who crossed his path.
“Amnesia will thrill my fans,” he said. “It’s one of those albums that has been carefully compiled and prepared with much technical qualities of real music.”
Rutabana’s previous albums include Ijuru ry’Intwari which was released in 1996 and Imbaraga zUrukundo which debuted in 2001. His third album entitled Le Retour d’Imana was not officially launched in Rwanda, as he has been living in exile.
