Sky Hotel, one of the first places to introduce lap dancing and the famous ekimansulo, has finally abandoned the one thing that was its trademark for almost a decade. Previously revelers finished off their night activities with a peep at the hotel situated right in the heart of Kigali where girls, mostly imported from Uganda, did the lap and pole dancing, but all that is no more.
The management of the hotel has however reiterated that soon a new type of entertainment will be introduced, one which will be more enjoyable than the usual ekimansulo. The numbers of people flocking to Sky Hotel had dropped significantly from the time other bars and joints followed suit and introduced similar shows, but spicing them up with a mixture of live shows.
More often than not, empty seats stared right at you at the entrance of Sky Hotel despite the presence of the dancers. Something had gone amiss. It is rumored that the management of the hotel will be looking at other options to replace ekimansulo, including karaoke nights.
