Kayitare Dembe (pictured above) has launched a scathing attack on the media accusing them of not covering his activities enough, the reason why his popularity has greatly plummeted. At the wrong time and wrong place, Kayitare took to the stage, initially invited to perform, but instead took the time to warn the media that they have greatly influenced the audience not to listen to his songs anymore.
He was speaking at Bicasso Bar and Restaurant, where a host of artists that included Tom Close, Fearless and Elion Victory had gathered for an entertaining evening, but his remarks fell on deaf ears as the audience wanted a performance rather his untimely whining.
He said, “You the journalists are the reason why I have come to this. No single FM station plays my songs anymore and it should be down to you to blame. I cannot emphasize how this has affected my career because even yesterday’s kids are coming up and overtaking me. It’s largely unfair and unjust.”
Fearless kept the crowd on their toes…
