Two brothers have a common goal: they want to break the speed climbing record on “The Nose,” the most famous climbing route in the world situated in the Yosemite National Park, California. The two climbers form a two-man rope team, negotiating the almost vertical faces in breath taking speed. Filmmaker Pepe Danquart accompanies Alexander and Thoma Huber on their ambitions endeavour in the picturesque of California. Yet the film is in fact less about records and more about pushing beyond one’s own limits.
The documentary’s impressive images, jokes and charm cast a spell over viewers, even if they have never scaled the bare cliff face of a mountain. To The Limit will be screened on Tuesday 19th March 2013 at 6.30pm. As usual entry is free for all.
