Tomboy Young Grace has revealed that the recent released video to her song “Like a Boy” was one of the most expensive she ever made in her music career. The video, which prominently portrays her as a boy (just like its title), also shows her dressing in full army uniform in some of the scenes, a factor she said she did intentionally to debunk the theory that only men can stand up and fight for their country.
“It was one of the most expensive videos I ever made to this day. It cost me roughly over 500,000Rwf to make it, first because I used many extras in it, and second the materials were expensive. I wanted to make a difference in that the quality of the video had to be one of the best.”
Young Grace is known to possess a knack of dressing like boys
Young Grace intends to release as many videos as possible this year, insisting it’s the only way one can make it to the very top. Already she’s enjoying success with The Super Level production house where she has been making most of her recordings, and her videos aren’t bad either. If her endeavors are to come to fruition, she should be able to make it to the big stage next year when the fourth edition of Primus Guma Guma Super Star comes back, as well as the sixth edition of Salax Awards, as she puts it. “Yah why not?” she replied. “Last season I was nominated but I never went far. This time round I will show you who the real Young Grace is!”
