Speaking at a meeting by local musicians aimed at organising “Agaciro Concert” which attended by musicians in the country, she said that it would be useless if the concert was a one-time show since the country’s needs keep on recurring.

She said, “It is important that we think of the future and importance of this concert. If we can do it annually, it would be better. It makes perfect sense that putting money into AgDF should be regular, and in our case we should do this kind of fundraising at least once a year.”

Miss Jojo was seconded by Masamba who also pointed that those artistes who will be performing could also as well pay the entrance fees to add to the amount that will be collected from the entrance charges. He said, “Performing artistes could go an extra mile and pay the entrance fee as well, why not? If we can do that we would be demonstrating that not only are we contributing to the fund in terms of selling our music, but we will also be contributing directly and financially.

Agaciro concerts will be held on 13^th and 14^th October at Expo Ground and Serena Hotel respectively. Entrance fee will be 5,000 Rwf per head.

In what he thought was a rip back at the media for allegedly reporting about his purported incarceration in Kenya, the rapper went on to name a few names of the so called “Small journalists” and other disparaging remarks directly aimed at the media in general. But such is the hype and drama that always accompanies showbiz the world over, and with such words coming out of the mouth of such a celebrity, it is hardly unsurprising that they won’t be easily forgotten. Or maybe even forgiven. Protocol dictates that if you can’t carry a big name on your shoulders, then you should stop vying for high positions in society. Utterances such as those by Jay Polly and the status he carries can never be seen as a mere misdemeanor, but rather as an insult and an unforgivable felony.

And I always thought it is forbidden to bite the hand that feeds you! Having lived solely on music and his celebrity status, Jay Polly quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the highest paid entertainers in the country. He signed a lucrative deal with MTN worth tens of millions, thanks to his popularity that he largely owes to the radio stations that constantly play his music. But as the saying goes, “No good deed goes unpunished.” In a rather subversive gesture, the rapper turned back at the same people that promoted and uplifted him to a level that even him self didn’t think he would ever achieve.

Now Jay Polly will find it difficult to turn back the hands of time. Should he apologize? Should he just live on and pretend nothing happened and hope that it will soon be forgotten? Whatever the case, he needs to do something – quickly – before things get out of hand. He needs to make a quick decision to counter the bad mood that has engulfed his popularity and a wave of uncertainty that surrounds his contract with MTN. To be realistic no radio station would want to play music of a musician who sees them as “useless!” The fewer the number of times the songs are played, the more the chances of the waning popularity, hence the revocation of the contracts. But as the whole showbiz eagerly awaits his reaction and as the time ticks, primordial instincts should dictate to him that the worst decision you can make is no decision at all.

Après avoir reçu coups et blessures par des malfaiteurs inconnus, Daddy de Maximo Mwicira Mitali  envisage de se retirer du showbiz  au Rwanda.

Interrogé par la Radio Isango Star dans l’émission dominicale « Sunday Night » du 20 novembre 2011, Daddy a exprimé son intention de cesser ses activités dans le showbiz car pour lui elles ont une corrélation de ce qui lui est arrivé.

En effet, comme il l’a annoncé,  dans la nuit du 9 novembre 2011 il rentrait chez lui à Gishushu dans la ville de Kigali  aux environs de minuit. Par habitude il aime travailler au cours de ces heures tardives de la nuit, il était entrain de faire des croquis  des modèles (c’est un styliste) pour une commande d’un client et préparait le dessin animé de son documentaire « By the shortcut » en préparation en  France dans la maison de production «  Sur la Frontière Cinéma Documentaire » à Paris.

Soudain 2 individus de grande taille et costauds s’infiltrèrent chez lui avec des pistolets, commencèrent à lui poser des questions sur son travail et des allégations stipulant qu’il était homosexuel. Après ils le lièrent sur une chaise dans son salon en le mouillant avec  de l’eau, en le tabassant puis l’aspergèrent de l’essence en le brulant. La chaise sur laquelle il était assis fut réduit en miettes à cause des flammes, heureusement pour lui, il sortit indemne grâce a ses vêtements qui étaient mouillés.

Il essaya de s’enfuir malgré lui mais un des malfaiteurs réussit à le blesser  sérieusement au bras. Heureusement pour lui, une dame voisine réussit à  lui venir en aide après avoir entendu les bruits provenant de la maison en prévenant  les secours. Après il sera hospitalisé au CHUK  ou il subira une intervention chirurgicale sur son bras.

Des nos jours, il se trouve chez lui, il s’est même rendu aux différentes cérémonies où il était invité comme la clôture de la semaine de l’unité et de la réconciliation à l’ULK  ou dernièrement le mariage du chanteur et animateur de radio Ally Soudy.

La société rwandaise est en contradiction avec les idées véhiculées par les homosexuels d’autant plus que Daddy lui-même est suspecté d’être homosexuel. Elle exhorte lui et ses amis de retrouver le droit chemin, de ne pas prendre en considération les idées venues de l’occident.

Daddy n’est pas de cet avis car il préconise à l’Etat rwandais de respecter les droits de chaque citoyen en ajoutant aussi  que les commentaires et rumeurs circulant sur internet à son sujet ne doivent pas nuire à son intégrité moral.

A ce sujet beaucoup de personnes se demandent si ses souhaits seront exaucées car il est difficile ces jours d’empêcher les internautes de commenter sur des sujets divers ou sensibles comme le sien. Les autres raisons qui se posent, les gens se demandent s’il n’a pas été agressé parce qu’il est homosexuel, ou parce qu’il fait du showbiz en étant gay ou tout simplement parce qu’il faisait  du showbiz ? La police nationale a indiqué que l’enquête est toujours en cours pour démasquer ces agresseurs.
