Ten contestants in this year’s edition of Primus Guma Guma Super Star laid wreaths at the Nyanza Genocide Memorial in Kicukiro at the same time donating Rwf500, 000 to the Memorial.
The ceremony was attended by all the ten contestants, journalists and East African Promoters employees
At around 9am on Wednesday April 9, 2014, the contestants laid wreaths and paid tribute to the innocent victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Over eleven thousand people were laid to rest at the memorial.
Martine Gatabazi who represented Bralirwa said: “Today we came to remember our brothers and sisters who lost their lives. We want to ensure that this never happens again in our country. Let’s all endeavor to see that nothing will ever lead us to such dark days again.”
Different artistes have come forward to support the twentieth commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, while others have gone ahead to release tracks in condemnation of the worst Genocide of our modern day.
