East African people will miss out on the annual singing competition, Tusker Project Fame in 2014 as management focuses on new reality show dubbed, Tusker Twende Kazi.
The information was unveiled by the Tusker Project Fame gold sponsors, East African Breweries Limited (EABL) to the press.
The company decided to focus on its just concluded new reality show, Tusker Twende Kazi where celebrities were paired and given tasks around the world to deliver a bottle of Tusker.
It’s however rumoured that, the organizers decided to try out a new competition after finding out that Tusker Project Fame winners couldn’t make it to the top in music.
Tusker Project Fame competition aims at inspiring music in East Africa through promoting and funding talented singers.
The previous winners of the competition include; Valerie Kimani (Kenya), Ester Mugizi (Uganda), Alpha Rwirangira, a double winner from (Rwanda), Hillary Davis Ntare (Uganda), Ruth Matete (Kenya) and one Hope from Burundi.
Rwanda’s Alpha Rwirangira won the competition twice and is the only selling artist from the Tusker Project Fame Academy.
The music talent show is judged by renowned house hold names in East Africa’s music industry like; Kenya’s Ian Mbugua, and Uganda’s songstress Juliana Kanyomozi.
