Boombastic fame star Shaggy

International legendary dance hall artist Shaggy aka “Mr Lover man” is set to thrill East African music audience on September 20at Namboole stadium Kampala, Uganda.

The Repent hit maker is coming to Uganda on the courtesy of Vision Group and Club Pilsner in a concert dubbed Club Mega fest show.

Shaggy last performed live in Uganda late 2009 and he will share stage with Uganda’s finest music stars like Jose Chameleon, Radio and Weasel and many other super stars in Africa.

Born Orville Richard Burrel October 22 1968in Kingston is a Jamaican-American reggae fusion singer and deejay. He is best known for his singles Boombastic, Angel, He wasn’t me and he got his stage name from his shaggy hair.

Other Africa’s music icons to perform alongside Shaggy include South Africa’s duo Mafikzolo and Nigeria’s Burna Boy.

The 56 year old super star is an ex- US marine who fought in 1990 Gulf war.

Shaggy has travelled around the globe staging epic concerts including Rwanda where he last performed live at Amahooro stadium in 2008.

In Rwanda, Shaggy is famous for his songs like Ready to ride and Church Heathen which rocked urban airwaves and night clubs big time.
