Patrick Nyamitali may not have been the winner at the just concluded singing competition of Tusker Project Fame in Nairobi, but he sure did put up performances that made every Rwandan proud.
After dominating for most of the shows, Patrick’s popularity somewhat waned paving way for Burundi’s Hope to take advantage and ended up beating him for the final five million shillings prize.
But even then, thousands of his fans including music stars have congratulated him for a job well done. Among them is King James who said, “He made our country proud, so there is no reason why we can’t congratulate him.”
Since Rwanda was allowed to participate in the competition, only Alpha Rwirangira has been successful, winning season three. Since then only Jackson Kalimba came close in 2012 scooping third position behind Ruth Matete and Doreen, both from Kenya.
