“Our artists should learn from Martin’s performance and techniques in order to strengthened Rwandan culture through music to the entire world” said Hon. Protais Mitali.
He added that musicians should be creative but not copywriting foreign beats which distorts local music, and also devote time to their profession to produce best quality music.
The former gospel singer Mani Martin performed live in Masaai cloth shirt with local music instruments like drums, and guitars, where spectators could enjoy his voice without the interruption of auto tunes technology.
Mani Martin’s music is mostly made up of cultural dances, attire and his vocal also goes deep into the roots of Rwandan cultural singers.
Some local artists revealed that live music is expensive and despite his music nature, the singer was backed up by MTN Company in terms of preparations including live music instruments.
Various artists performed at the launch including gospel choirs, Uncle Austin, Melody, Shannel, Babou and it was one of the best organized album launch ever seen in the country.
Mani Martin boosts songs like Intero y’ Amahoro, Urukubuzi and has featured many upcoming local artists as well as promoting them.
